July was a good month for Tamil music, with significant releases from the likes of Yuvan Shankar Raja, Govind Vasantha (of Thaikuddam Bridge fame) and more.
After Kollywood went on a huge strike for about two months in the first half of this year, disrupting release schedules of several films - and music, things started blooming up in May.
The first half of 2018 did not have much to offer by way of memorable and rounded Tamil film soundtracks, but there were lovely melodies, ear-worms and massively well-received hits.
