A soundscape that spans genres from alt-rock to shoegaze to electro-dream-pop, the 4-piece outfit Signal W garnered attention for their dreamy debut album in 2019. They released the visuals for their track ‘MEH’ on Friday. This drop comes less than a week after the release of their home-shot video for the album track ‘Starfall’.
The entire video was produced in-house by the members of the band. Directed, choreographed and performed by band member Anukool Raman and shot by Mrs. Bala Raman, this melancholic yet spellbinding monochromatic offering is full of still and slow-motion shots set in a dingy basement setting.
The grainy, flickering effects accenting the visuals add to the distant and isolated vibe of the entire project. The sprinkle of fast cuts with Anukool’s contemporary dance movements and close up shots make this a video worth watching over and over.
