J. Cole surprised the world with the surprise release of his album KOD. The album revolves around a theme, if not central, then certainly predominant – addictions. The track ‘Kevin’s Heart’ deals with sex-addiction, an allusion to actor and comedian Kevin Hart’s confession of infidelity. The title and the rather weak pun end up working because Hart features in the video for the song.
The singer is hardly there in the video that revolves around Hart, who tries to go about everyday chores, but with the knowledge of his misdemeanours following him.
