‘Aaj Phir Tera’ from Hindi / Urdu band Madmast will invoke a sense of nostalgia, especially for the quintessential Bollywood pop sound. The playful song is an “ode to old school romance”, with the melody and the lyrics all very “filmy” and can easily be reimagined, as the band puts it, with “Dev Anand Sahab dancing around pursuing a female lead”.
The music video, however, is slightly different but only adds to the charm. Directed by Vidar Joshi, it is essentially a recipe to make a chocolate ganache cake.
The song comes after the Mumbai-based band’s debut ‘Ae Dil’ that was released in July earlier this year. Both the songs are part of Madmast’s upcoming album Gumshuda ki Talaash.
