Mumbai-based the Tekina Collab, on Tuesday, released its debut track ‘Claiming Me’ on Facebook and Youtube.
The four and a half minute track has a ‘lo-fi hip-hop radio – beats to relax/study to’ vibe to it. Gowri Jayakumar’s smooth vocals over the jazzy floating electric piano riffs complement the whole arrangement deftly.
The Tekina Collab is a collaborative musical effort spearheaded by Aniket Mangrulkarm who plays the keys. Other members of the collaboration include Warsha Easwar (Voice Trumpet), Shannon George (Guitars) Ralph Menezes (Bass) and Viraaj Saxena (Drums).
