Paranox announces Bari Barsi remix contest

Bhopal-based Indian electronic outfit Paranox has announced a remix contest for his latest single ‘Bari Barsi’ which was released on June 26.

The contest is now live, and the submissions will be accepted till July 30, 2019. You have 15 days to come up with your own interpretation of the desi trap banger and stand a chance to win Audio Technica headphones, official Bharatiya Bass Party merch and an official release on all streaming platforms.

How to participate?

• First up, download the stems from http://tiny.cc/bbstems (Tempo: 150 BPM, Key: Em)
• Follow @paranoxmusic and @ahummingheart accounts on Instagram.
• Send in your remix (Youtube or Soundcloud links only) to paranoxmusic@gmail.com with the subject line reading BARI BARSI REMIX by July 30, 2019.
• Bonus Marking – Show off your production/jamming skills through an Instagram story and tag @paranoxmusic and @ahummingheart.

Who will choose the winner?

The winners will be chosen by a jury consisting Paranox, the Spindoctor and Srijan Sharma solely on the basis of composition and the overall production (so no point pestering your friends to like and view :P).

Paranox has emerged as one of the most compelling trap and bass artists to watch out for. With his unique blend of desi sounds and trap elements, he has enthralled audiences enough to earn himself Best Electronica Artist, People’s Choice at the Radio City Freedom Awards.

Sanjay Meriya aka the Spindoctor has established himself as one of the premiere turntablists over the years. He is part of Divine’s hip-hop outfit Gully Gang. When he is not enthralling audiences all over the country with his impeccable beat mixing, scratching, beat juggling, drumming and sampling skills, he teaches the trade at premier institutes such as Audioqube, The True School of Music and Party Map DJ Academy.

Srijan Sharma is a Music producer who has completed his audio engineering from KM Conservatory Chennai, (A.R. Rahman’s College of Music), he has worked with well know producers in the industry. His tracks have hit some huge milestones like BBC Asian Network and Rolling Stones India. He has done background scores for Indian Film Industry for shows such as 24 (Anil Kapoor Series), Motu Patlu and Ishqbazz.

The winners will be announced on August 5, 2019.
