Singer-songwriter Pranita Nair Pandurangi is the first recipient of A Humming Heart’s Artist Fund for independent artists. She is using the fund to distribute and promote her latest song, ‘Beiraada Nazar’ (released on January 15, 2021), a modern take on a traditional ghazal.
Pranita released her debut folk fusion album Rang in 2019. The Mumbai-based artist is trained in Hindustani classical vocal music and folk music of India and has performed at various venues across India like Prithvi Theatre and NCPA (Mumbai), Kamani Auditorium (Delhi) and Bharat Bhavan (Bhopal).
