Mumbai and New York-based musician Bhrigu Sahni has collaborated with voiceover artist Gaurav Sajjanhar a.k.a Groovy Butter on a catchy riff on our times, ‘Lockdown Blues’.
The song, as you’d expect, is a space for the singer to ‘vent out’ his frustrations and ‘put a positive spin on a tough situation’. “It feels like everyone is really frustrated and having a tough time navigating the lockdown in general. At these times, singing away the blues is the best approach,” Sahni writes in the press statement.
“Oh Covid baby, I got the lockdown blues / When your Tuesday feels like Sunday, you got the lockdown blues”, they sing.
The song is just as fun and groovy as it sounds, featuring some smooth vocals from both and a mean mouth trumpet from Sajjanhar.
